I cannot recommend Sharifi Studio highly enough! Jon altered my wedding dress from a size 12 down to a size 4, and the results were absolutely flawless. The fabric was delicate and notoriously difficult to work with, but he handled it with incredible care and precision. Every seam, every detail was meticulously done — you would never guess the dress had been altered at all. He also added buttons underneath, so I was able to gather the tail and danced all night freely! His craftsmanship and attention to detail made my dress feel like it was custom-made just for me. I got my wedding dress from New York it was a beautiful couture dress. I was very particular with choosing who to go to for alterations. The price was definitely reasonable keeping mind that the pieces were extremely detailed, but I’ll also only be wearing it once! I’ve never worn an outfit like this, and he was extremely patient and knowledgable when teaching me the customary ways to wear it. He had great customer service, and I will definitely be coming back for all of my tailoring needs!

Jon saved my wedding! After horribly botched alterations on my ceremony and reception dresses, Jon was able to fix the seams and perfectly sculpt them both in less than a month’s time. In many cases where the fabric was quite fragile, he actually hand stitched much of the dress together to prevent any further damage. Both of them now fit beautifully thanks to his masterful tailoring, and just in time for my ceremony. I've always struggled finding clothes that fit me as I am more on the petite side but going to Sharifi's Studio helped me with my problem. Did a amazing job on my dress. My prom was in 3 days when i called and they were able to alter my dress in time. They fixed not only my straps but the back of my dress as well and made it comfortable to wear all night. So accommodating and just nice people to work with in general. Book with them ASAP.

Jon did a spectacular job altering my dress. When I purchased the dress, it was completely backless and the top was a little too sheer for my comfort. Jon added an extra layer of fabric beneath the sheer parts for additional coverage and perfectly covered the entire back, making it look like it always had a back! He altered the dress to fit my waist perfectly and altered the cathedral veil and train to a length that allowed me to walk all day comfortably at my outdoor ceremony and reception. Jon is an extremely professional respectful, and thorough artisan who I highly recommend for all your wedding dress tailoring needs!

I bought this dress with a slit in the back and didn't even know it had one until after I bought it. I just desperately wanted the slit gone for modesty purposes, so I went to see Jon. He was amazing! He finished the dress in record time, did everything the way I asked for it, and was just so sweet and lovely the whole time. He really proved that it's not enough to just be a good tailor, but also a good person with your clients! I can't recommend Jon enough. I can’t recommend Jon enough for any tailoring needs, especially a wedding dress! He seriously makes magic happen. My dress was four sizes too big on my top but fit my bottom, and Jon was able to take in the top, hem the bottom, add a bustle, fix a few things, and make the dress fit me perfectly. Sharifi’s studio did an impeccable job tailoring my wedding dress! I bought a designer sample mikado silk ball gown that was a full two sizes too big for me, and by the time Jon finished altering it, it looked like it was made for me. Complete with French bustle (and even bustles for the bow on the back)! He also steamed the dress and coordinated pickup for the day before the wedding so it wouldn’t wrinkle. Highly recommend!

Sharifi’s Studio is one of the best tailors in northern VA. I had a few events back to back and i went to him for tailoring last minute and he was able to accommodate me. On top of that he did a flawless job. One of my dresses ended up being designed and styled by him and his lovely assistant.
